I would like to clarify how the code comment check is done in P1. The TAs
do manually check the code comments of the program. How many comments
you have put into your program is only one aspect when the TA is marking the
code comment. The quality of the comments is a more important aspect which
is checked manually. So we do not see the way how code comment is checked
by the marking software as a bug, it is a process to provide the TA more
information in helping them with manual marking of the code comments.
It needs to be pointed out that the marking is not 100% automatic. Some
manual marking work is needed from the TAs. The TAs are required to
manually check marking reports (the ones sent to your engmail account)
generated and make adjustment of the marks according to his/her own
discretion.
If you have more questions/feedback on the marking software for P1, please
contact me.
